How to Make Decorative Chocolate Pieces with a Wax Seal Stamp

Decorative chocolate pieces make the perfect cupcake toppers. I used a Hogwarts crest wax seal to make these Harry Potter inspired cupcakes for my best friends baby shower. I loved how the chocolate coins made the cupcakes look so elegant.

How to make the chocolate pieces:

  • Place the wax seal in the freezer 20-30 mins before melting the chocolate

  • Melt the chocolate with the double boil technique or with the microwave in 30 second intervals stirring in between. 

  • Use a piping bag to make a circular pool of a chocolate on parchment paper (only do a few at a time to determine the size you like)

  • Keep the piping bag straight up and down and squeeze the chocolate out onto the parchment paper

  • Hold the wax seal straight up and down and press into the chocolate for a few seconds

  • In between pressing the coins, place the chocolate seal into a bowl with ice to keep it cold enough to seal the chocolate
